Demand for aged care services is set to surge in coming years as the Baby Boomer generation ages, putting additional strain on an already stretched sector.

Henry Cutler, director of the Centre for the Health Economy at Macquarie University, describes aged care as an “absolutely essential pillar of our society, ensuring that we look after each other”.
