Downer EDI a ‘winner’ in sustainable world, says CEO

Sustainability is now “front and centre” of business, Downer EDI chief executive Grant Fenn said, as healthy profits from transport projects swung the services group back into the black with an annual net profit of $182 million.

Concerns around sustainable business practices had “significantly accelerated” since the COVID-19 outbreak and Downer was spending a lot of time discussing them, Mr Fenn told The Australian Financial Review.
