Victorian families of Port players allowed to cross SA border
Controversy has erupted in South Australia over a bungle by SA Health in which 11 Victorian-based family members of Port Adelaide players in the Australian Football League were granted exemptions to come into South Australia, a situation which has now been partially reversed.
SA Chief Public Health Officer Dr Nicola Spurrier apologised on Wednesday afternoon and said six of the people had subsequently had those exemptions revoked, although it was too late in the case of the other five family members who are already in Adelaide in hotel quarantine.
