Training manuals don't include $24 million worth of policy changes
Training manuals show Medibank staff were not told to inform customers of changes to their policies that would see them face out of pocket expenses from in-hospital diagnostic services.
Australia's largest health insurer Medibank is facing Federal Court action, with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission claiming the company misled customers when it did not actively inform them of changes to 11 policies that would see consumers hit with out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic services – such as blood tests and MRI scans – in a private hospital.
