Sydney PE firm hit with court action over start-up deal

Alceon Private Equity’s IT services business EFEX has been accused of breaching a payout agreement with the founder and former executive of Adelaide technology start-up Logic Plus.

EFEX, which was founded in 2013 and is 50-50 owned by Alceon and its founder Nick Sheehan, has rolled up five IT services businesses and recently appointed MA Financial’s advisory arm MA Moelis to explore a potential sale. Alceon’s private equity arm is run by Zac Midalia and David Wilshire.
