Study finds mix-and-match works, as omicron spurs booster push
Many combinations of existing vaccines provide strong protection against COVID-19, a new study has found, as governments around the world tell their citizens to get booster shots as a precaution against the new omicron strain.
British researchers compared seven vaccine brands and found most of them prompted a strong immune response, with the mRNA shots from Moderna and Pfizer eliciting the largest responses. The study was published on Thursday (Friday AEDT) in The Lancet medical journal.
