Sonic boss: routine testing will offset slide in PCRs

Sonic Healthcare boss Colin Goldschmidt says as PCR testing falls away in various nations, the diagnosis of other diseases, the ageing population and preventative medicine will underpin the growth of its testing business.

Dr Goldschmidt told The Australian Financial Review that over the coming 12 to 18 months there will be a bounce back of routine testing services for the pathology giant, as patients go back to GPs and elective surgeries restart.
