Ramsay Health Care says Labor’s private health insurance premium increase is not enough to cover the soaring cost of running its network of 76 private hospitals after reporting a $100 million loss over six months.
The country’s largest private hospital operator says it is also preparing for difficult negotiations with health insurers as it attempts to plug the gap between rising costs and payments for medical services.
