South Australian Premier Steven Marshall says the state is determined to continue on its pathway as an open economy even though a high school reunion in his own electorate has brought to a shuddering halt the state’s largely virus-free status.

Former SA premier Jay Weatherill was among the 16 people linked to a Henley High School reunion on Saturday night at the Theatre Bugs venue in suburban Norwood who tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Two other attendees had been revealed on Wednesday.
