Flutter warns of Sportsbet headwinds as annual profits slide
The parent company of Australia’s largest bookmaker, Sportsbet, has warned its local offshoot will continue to lose money after revealing a 27 per cent decline in earnings for the last financial year.
Sportsbet chief executive Barni Evans did not rule out job losses at a company town hall last week, which was held after global parent Flutter revealed local revenue of $US1.4 billion ($2.2 billion) for the year ending December 31, a decline of 7.1 per cent.
