Crown punters forced to cap their losses

Australians gambling on the 2600 poker machines at Crown Melbourne will be forced to set a maximum amount of money they are willing to lose at the casino and a cash cap of $1000 every 24 hours will be enforced for domestic and international players to tackle money laundering.

Under new legislation introduced into the Victorian parliament on Tuesday, the pre-commitment to an upper limit on losses on gaming machines must be in place by next year.
