Broken Star cash machine gushed cash and exposed ‘deep cultural’ issue

For almost seven weeks, one machine in Star Entertainment’s Sydney casino was handing out millions of dollars to patrons who had already cashed wins.

The NSW inquiry heard on Monday that more than $3.2 million was extracted from the so-called ticket-in, cash-out terminal last year without any urgency from casino staff to fix the problem.
