Australia's online-dominated wagering industry faces a challenge from Betmakers Technology group, which aims to digitise and promote on-site bookies through a new price comparison tool.
The tool, rolled out to Victorian racecourses on Monday, determined the median price offered on horses at the course. Known as the Victorian Bookmakers Association Price (VBA), the figure displays alongside an "official price", which is the same exercise replicated with online odds.
