Top judge pleads for 'specific' conduct laws

NSW chief justice Tom Bathurst says lawmakers should set out the standards of conduct it expects corporate Australia to meet, rather than leaving  judges to decide "community standards".

Chief Justice Bathurst says uncertainty around the meaning of key provisions such as "unconscionability" in section 21 of the Competition and Consumer Act (CCA) underlined the need for more specific legislation.
