Suncorp pushes biggest home insurance increases since 2013

Devastating floods have contributed to home insurance price rises of almost 10 per cent on average at Suncorp, one of the biggest such increases in almost a decade, as the group reported a 37 per cent slump in profit.
The price jump is Brisbane-based Suncorp’s biggest since 2013, when big premium increases were flowing through in the aftermath of a double whammy of cyclone and flooding costs.
