Former AMP chairman Catherine Brenner’s return to blue-chip company boards is already facing hurdles as the retail shareholders proxy house suggested it intends to try to block her election to the ASX-listed Scentre Group.
The shopping centre group that operates the Westfield brands in Australia announced it was appointing Ms Brenner in December last year, in a move to be voted upon by shareholders at its annual general meeting on April 7.
