Former AMP chairman Catherine Brenner has been told by the corporate regulator that it will not take action against her, ending 2½ years in limbo for the board director who resigned from the wealth management group at the height of Kenneth Hayne’s royal commission.
Australian Securities and Investments Commission chairman James Shipton and head of enforcement Daniel Crennan, QC, on Monday sent a letter to Ms Brenner’s lawyers which “made it clear that there’s no issue” in which she will be involved in any further action, Ms Brenner said.
