QSuper faces member backlash over climate risk concerns

Queensland’s largest superannuation fund, QSuper, is facing a member backlash over climate risk exposure, with chairman Don Luke receiving a legal letter raising issues ranging from a delay in undertaking carbon footprinting to its limited disclosure of portfolio holdings.

Lawyers acting for two QSuper members wrote to the superannuation fund asking it to strengthen its policies to better manage climate change risk on behalf of its clients.
