QBE braces for $240m fallout from UK virus case

Insurer QBE has braced for an extra hit of up to $US185 million ($240 million) in Australia after a UK appeal court’s ruling against its business interruption policies.

The Sydney-based insurer is taking the extra "risk margin strengthening" – setting aside money for potential claims – following the UK Supreme Court decision on Friday, London time.
