Macquarie Group taps Shemara Wikramanayake as CEO, Nicholas Moore to retire

Macquarie Group has picked asset management boss Shemara Wikramanayake to take the reins as chief executive from Nicholas Moore in November.

The announcement was made before the company's annual general meeting on Thursday. Ms Wikramanayake, 56, has long been considered the internal frontrunner to take over from Mr Moore as she runs Macquarie's largest business unit.
