It’s the bond trader that’s overvalued, say Buffett and Gorman

As ANZ’s board and management battle to contain an escalating bond scandal that has them in the firing line of at least two government agencies, they might seek counsel from an Australian that rose to the top of Wall Street.

That advice is to worry more about the traders who are making money than those who are not. Morgan Stanley’s former chief executive James Gorman said as much when he appeared at The Australian Financial Review Business Summit in 2022.
