Investors track the 'sin bin' spotlight

Financial planners say investors are becoming much more hands-on in researching ethical considerations before they buy into direct shares on the ASX and are often heavily influenced by the media spotlight on specific companies considered to be in the ''sin bin'' over particular matters.

Jonathan Philpot, HLB Mann Judd wealth management partner, said older clients in particular were tending to put a sharper focus on ethical considerations when it came to investment choices.
