QBE Insurance Group has completed the acquisition of Secura NV in Belgium after receiving regulatory approval. The acquisition was announced on July 5.

UBS has appointed OZ Minerals chairman Neil Hamilton as a senior advisor based in the Perth office. UBS Australia chief executive Matthew Grounds said: “Neil commands tremendous respect in financial and business circles and his wealth of experience and insight into the West Australian market will be invaluable to our business." It named Tim Day as co-head of the office with Edward Leung.
