David Morgan rules himself out of Westpac chairmanship

Former Westpac CEO David Morgan has ruled himself out as the bank's next chairman, as it wrestles with its stakeholders over succession plans.

Sources close to the board said Mr Morgan, who resides in London but is currently in Australia, had been speaking to people about the chairman's role but he denied those claims over the weekend.
