Brian Sherman loses battle with Parkinson’s
Funds manager, philanthropist and animal activist Brian Sherman has died at home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs aged 79 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Sherman left South Africa with wife Gene in 1976, arriving with $5000 to their name. He met fellow South African immigrant Laurence Freedman and in 1981 they founded investment house Equitilink.
