BoQ under investigation for charging fees to dead customers

Bank of Queensland is under investigation for charging dead customers fees in a throwback to conduct that ultimately resulted in the financial services industry being hauled before the royal commission.

While it has yet to say how widespread the conduct was within the regional lender, the Banking Code Compliance Committee confirmed to The Australian Financial Review that it was looking into BoQ after lashing ANZ for “serious and systemic” misconduct for the same reason earlier this year.
