Bank of Queensland business banking head Julian Russell has abruptly departed the regional lender just three months after his appointment, triggering a search for its fifth permanent executive in that role since 2019.
Russell, who was hired in March and considered to be among potential internal candidates to take over from BoQ chief executive Patrick Allaway, resigned on Monday, multiple people with knowledge of the matter said.
