ASX risks falling behind on CHESS remake

The ASX could fall behind on its remake of the ageing clearing and settlement infrastructure that underpins Australia’s equity market as reams of faulty code threaten to delay testing scheduled to happen in February 2025.

The corporate cop sounded the alarm in a submission to parliament, saying ASX had downgraded the multibillion-dollar upgrade to “amber” status meaning progress has slowed, and may not be delivered to schedule.
