Dropped ACCC cartel case filled with shocks from start to finish

Before the courts had even opened yesterday, and without a whisker of detail, the Australian Competition & Consumer Comission’s landmark criminal cartel case against several banks, including Citigroup and Deutsche, was eviscerated and consigned to the dumpster.
The chair of the ACCC, Rod Sims, said he found out on Thursday afternoon that the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) was considering dropping the matter.
