Renewable heavyweights seek offshore wind licences

Several renewable energy developers have applied for multiple licences to establish offshore wind farms in Victoria, as the growing list of contenders threatens to complicate the decision-making of regulators.
Offshore wind is the cornerstone of Victoria’s plan to transition away from fossil fuels, and the state’s aggressive target has drawn interest from global heavyweights and local giants such as Origin Energy.
