Households could see relief on energy bills as price caps come through

Australian Energy Regulator chairwoman Clare Savage said the federal government intervention into the energy market, including coal and gas price caps, should mitigate price increases this year.
While the intervention has contributed to a fall in future wholesale prices this year, Ms Savage said she expected this would flow through to lower retail prices increases from July 1.
