The explosion at the Callide C coal-fired power station in 2021 was the result of a simultaneous failure of key electrical equipment and back-up systems that could not have been anticipated, Queensland state-owned generator CS Energy has determined.
But it has also conceded that some parts of the power station’s work could have “been more robust” in analysing what went wrong.
