Transmission ‘will get easier’ after EnergyConnect: Transgrid CEO

Transgrid chief executive Brett Redman insists that momentum is building in the urgent expansion of NSW’s transmission grid even as the company’s biggest project under construction is mired in contractual disputes, cost increases and delays.

Mr Redman acknowledged that mega transmission projects such as the 900 kilometre EnergyConnect cable being built between South Australia and NSW are “difficult” but he said future projects would become easier.
