Gas outlook tightens as Beach says lack of workers will delay project
Australia’s gas supply outlook has worsened with Beach Energy saying its Waitsia Stage 2 project in Western Australia will be delayed by labour shortages, with it unclear on when it will be able to deliver gas to customers.
The Waitsia project is a key pillar of Beach Energy’s growth strategy, and the company had targeted first gas by the end of 2023. Earlier this year, Beach Energy said the project had been hampered by the collapse of Clough.
