A democracy foundation backed by former NSW premier Nick Greiner has found that a citizens’ jury of randomly selected voters in NSW reached similar conclusions on energy policy as a Productivity Commission report out this week.
The jurors, who were part of a pilot program run by bipartisan research group newDemocracy with state Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, urged the O’Farrell government earlier this year to consider ways to manage peak demand for electricity.
