Scarborough's big upgrade lifts Woodside’s chances of luring investors

A large upgrade to Woodside Petroleum's Scarborough gas field off Western Australia has provided a timely boost for the planned $16 billion Pluto LNG expansion, just as the company is seeking to lure customers and partners to the project.
The 52 per cent jump in the volume of gas at Scarborough far off the WA coast is much bigger than anticipated and has increased the profitability expected of the expansion.
