Beetaloo gas developer targets production in 2024 after NT ruling
Empire Energy, one of three gas developers seeking to begin production in the resource-rich Beetaloo Basin, said it has the support of traditional landowners and is targeting construction on a proposed facility within months, after the Northern Territory approved fracking.
The NT government on Wednesday said it would allow fracking in the Beetaloo Basin, a decision the country’s oil and gas industry said would aid Australia’s $2 trillion economy and improve energy security.
