‘Sliding doors moment’: Australia will be left behind, BP warns

London | Australia is the “poster child” for energy giant BP’s global energy transition strategy, its local chief says, but millions of dollars of investment “could go elsewhere” unless the government urgently rolls out new policies and funding.

BP Australia president Frederic Baudry warned a business event in London on Monday that the Albanese government faced “a Sliding Doors moment”, where it either had to act or else Australia’s transition could falter.
