AGL raises bet on after-dark solar with SA acquisition

Australia’s biggest coal power generator, AGL Energy, has acquired a newly approved solar storage project in South Australia, deepening its commitment to a promising but early-stage storage technology that can provide energy from the sun after dark.

The Yadnarie project near Cleve on the Eyre Peninsula, which won state government approval last week, is expected to cost several hundred million dollars to build.
