The Australia Sino One Hundred Year Agricultural and Food Safety Partnership, a group co-founded by businessman Andrew Forrest, wants China to set up a free trade zone near Shanghai for Australian exports.
Mr Forrest said Chinese authorities had given their support to the Chinese companies wanting to participate in the trade zone.
