Taxpayers fund drought-themed art for farmers despite boom times

The Future Drought Fund is financing drought-themed art, life coaches and business training - while agriculture enjoys its best years.

At Dookie agricultural college in country Victoria, they teach future farmers how to preserve their land’s fertility through crop rotation.

Now, thanks to the last Coalition government, at the regional campus of the University of Melbourne’s science faculty young farmers can also learn about surviving periods of drought through art.
