Less than a decade ago, global poker machine king Aristocrat Leisure was worried gaming growth was slowing.

It had hit poker machine games like Queen of the Nile and 5 Dragons, both developed in NSW, a stack of intellectual property filings, and big studios developing its next batch of games, but there were concerns poker machine takings were slowing, particularly in North America, Aristocrat’s primary market.
