The hidden danger in Boral’s board staring down Stokes
It’s one thing to head into battle with a major shareholder, it is another to survive the war. Boral’s decision to fight Seven Group is admirable, but will have consequences.
Boral’s board, led by former CSR boss Rob Sindel, is trying really hard to play nice.
It has tried to take all the emotion and personality out of a $1.9 billion battle for who owns and controls the 27.4 per cent of Boral that Seven Group does not already own.
