There’s an element of farce about the political bun fight that’s erupted in Canberra over the federal government’s attempts to appoint an administrator to the scandal-ridden CFMEU.

That action is needed is clear. That Labor is exposed by its links to the CFMEU is even clearer. But even more obvious is that the Greens and the Coalition aren’t going to rush through the legislation that supports the administration process when dragging it out means scoring political points.
