On Wednesday, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission will release its report examining the rise and rise of private markets, and what it means for the health of public markets and the broader economy.

To say the report – it’s better to think of it as a discussion paper – is highly anticipated in Australian capital markets is an understatement.
