How a CEO overruled the experts on fighting sexual harassment
Leading businesses are acting to stop sexual harassment in the workplace, but managers and those working on the front line say more needs to be done.
The most worrying anecdote about sexual harassment in the workplace told at the Champions of Change Coalition forum on Wednesday was the one about a chief executive who rejected the advice of experts.
The unnamed CEO, who has been a long-standing member of the organisation formerly known as Male Champions of Change, was made aware of a complaint of sexual harassment on the night of the company’s Christmas party, according to Kate Jenkins.
