Dan Ives is probably the most famous analyst on Wall Street, a long-time tech bull whose opinions are as colourful as his clothes. He started the year telling clients that Donald Trump would turbocharge the “biggest transformation in 40 years” by embracing artificial intelligence, crushing the barriers to deal-making and boosting the fortunes of Tesla. But Ives is starting to get seriously worried, declaring on Easter Sunday that the markets and tech world “need good news this week”.
