Breville’s supply chain pain is a warning for the economy
A strong year for the small appliance maker ended with growing issues with logistics, amid signs the world’s supply chain crunch is about to get worse.
Jim Clayton, the chief executive of small appliance giant Breville, says there are three key supply chain challenges he is navigating as the pandemic continues to roil global trade.
First, can he get the parts he needs to manufacture the toasters, kettles, pressure cookers and coffee machines that have flown off the shelves as consumers have cocooned at home during the past 18 months?
