It’s a fair bet that local investment banking legend Brett Paton and basketball icon Michael Jordan haven’t had too much in common. But that all changed on Wednesday night.
Jordan was announced as special adviser to listed US group DraftKings, a role for which he will receive an undisclosed equity stake. DraftKings shares leapt 8 per cent on the news and have quadrupled in value since listing in the middle of last year.
