Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has backed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s desire for four-year terms for federal parliament, but said it would be tough to sell to voters, especially as it would require a referendum.
Mr Dutton said, however, that if the prime minister was serious, he was prepared to sit down with him and discuss a strategy.
